Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 paid a working visit to Tummy Tummy Noodles some manufacturing plant in Anambra state.
Osinbajo was accompanied on the visit by the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige and the Anambra state Governor, Willie Obiano. Reports say the purpose of the Vice President’s visit was to assess the challenges that the companies are facing.
According to a Tweet from the VP’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, Osinbajo also said
“The reason the President sent him to visit is to encourage industries knowing that the state has a notable industrial hub.”
Osinbajo also told the Chief Executive Officer of Tummy Tummy Noodles, Chief Chika Emenike, that his visit
“will attract government intervention on some of the areas that have been affecting their production, most especially on the lack of foreign exchange for transaction.”
Governor Obiano praised Emenike for his doggedness, adding that he has kept the industry open, working and functioning, as well as ensuring the continued creation of employment.
The Tummy Tummy boss, in his remarks, thanked the VP for coming, and promised to do his best to support the government by creating employment.
Osinbajo also assured Nigerians that the current economic recession facing the country would soon be a thing of the past.
